# Can I split a PDF into smaller pieces with Cleardox?

## Learn how to split a large PDF into smaller segments using Cleardox. This functionality is essential for extracting specific pages or sections from a larger document

In Cleardox, it's possible to divide a large PDF into smaller segments. This feature is often necessary when only a few pages of a larger document need to be included in an document collection or redacted.

### How to Do It:

1. Navigate to **Organize Pages**.
2. Scroll to the page where you want to split the document.
3. Click on the page. The scissors icon will now illuminate in the toolbar.
4. Press the icon, and the document will split into two pieces. Continue this process until you've segmented the document as needed.
5. Delete any leftover pages/documents under "Documents in Project" on the left.

**Note:** If you accidentally split the document incorrectly, you can always undo this action using the undo button.
