Inserting Side Markings
To insert side markings, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the drop-down menu at the top of the screen when you are on a specific document.-Jun-28-2024-10-46-07-8595-AM.png?width=670&height=278&name=Cleardox%20(4)-Jun-28-2024-10-46-07-8595-AM.png)
Side markings can be inserted in two ways:

Manual Side Marking: You can also manually place the side marking in the document. This is typically relevant when dealing with images, tables, or columns. Click the icon in the toolbar below and place the line where it should be. Cleardox ensures it is vertical, so you don't have to worry about crooked lines.
Aligning Manual Markings
When creating manual side markings, it's important that the markings are positioned consistently throughout the document. To make this easier, Cleardox includes a line that helps align manual markings across all pages.
The line acts as a visual guide, making it easy to place markings at the same place on the page. This is especially useful when working with documents that contain tables, multiple columns, or other layouts where markings need to appear in a consistent location.
Choose your desired type of side line
You have the option to choose what type of side line you want to use. There are three different options, and you can easily change it in the menu on the left.

Can I Change the Line Color?
Yes, we have an article about that here: Change Line Color
If you have previously anonymized content in Cleardox's anonymization mode, it will be shown fully anonymized in Legal Binder mode. This ensures that any opposing party adding their side markings in Cleardox does not see sensitive content, such as an unpublished ruling that must be included in the materials or extracts.
