      What Download Options Do I Have in Cleardox?

      In this tutorial, you'll learn about the various download options available in Cleardox' Redaction Software. After anonymizing your documents, you can either combine them into a single irreversible PDF or download them individually

       

      Once you have finished anonymizing the document, you are now ready to create your new irreversible PDF.

       

      "Irreversible" means that it is not possible to recreate the original content once you have chosen to redact it. As soon as you download the file, Cleardox creates a completely new anonymized PDF.

       

      Download Options in Cleardox

      In the download menu, you have the following options:

      1. Combine Documents into One PDF: Use this option if you want to merge multiple documents into a single PDF.
      2. Zip File with All Documents: Use this option if you are anonymizing multiple documents simultaneously and want to keep them as separate files.

      Additionally, you have the following optional features:

      1. Add Document Access Appendix: This appendix provides an overview of all anonymized content in the document. We have a separate article about this here.
      2. Include Bookmarks for Each Document: Enables easy navigation within your document. Read our article about bookmarks here.

      Steps to Download

      1. Click the Download Button: Located on the left side of the toolbar.
      2. Choose Your Download Option: Either combine your document into one large PDF or download a zip file with all individual documents separately.

      Cleardox will then generate a new and irreversible PDF file, ensuring that the original content cannot be recreated and is thus fully anonymized

      Note: If you have not accepted all the anonymization suggestions that Cleardox has found, you will see a warning message. You can ignore this if you have reviewed the document.

      OCR Option

      If you are dealing with an OCR-processed a just a scanned PDF-document, Cleardox will ask how you want to handle this processing in the final document.
